I’m back.

Went for a week to visit my sister who’s days away from delivering her first child.  It was fun.  It was relaxing.

But I’m really glad to be back home.  No place like it

Before I left the kids made a paper chain counting down the days till our Disney trip.  It’s the only way to give Adrian and Zee a way to ‘see’ how long till we go.  The chain is getting smaller and my list of preparations to make is long.

The girls and I pulled out the suitcases tonight. They’re lined up in my room where I can slowly pack things away.  Items that are used for Disney only (ponchos, bags, pressed coin collection, resort mugs, etc.) are already packed and ready to go.

We also looked at cart decorations from years past.  Years ago we’d rent a golf cart at the Ft. Wilderness Resort.   These days it’s just easier to use the rental car having so many people, the wheelchair and stroller.  We used to get a big kick out of decking our cart out with themed decorations – Fantasia one year, Nemo another.  I kept them all.

We missed our cart decorations so much I went so far as to decorate our rental car last year.  Magnets with pictures of Lilo and Stitch adorned the sides of our minivan.  Along the roof rack and up the antena we had colorful flowers taken from a lei and to top it all off, my Stitch antena topper. 

It looked great.  Unfortunately, on our first day someone swiped the Lilo and Stitch magnets.  Nasty people everywhere you go.

This year I think we’re going with an Incredibles theme.  The girls have some ideas about ways to decorate.  A visit to the craft store is in our near future to buy our supplies to make our decorations.

Anyhow, I need to get to bed.  I’m still not recovered from my last vacation
